STOLEN RHD 510 4 door project -- project car stolen sun July 13th 2008 between 130am and 245 am in Rosemead, Ca. If anyone see or hears anything please email me at thejdmgarage@yahoo.com. It cannot be rolled or driven, I intentionally put high offest wheels that locked up the wheels to the frame. It had to be towed, there were scrathes from floor jacks they must have used to roll it out, and skid marks in the street to what ever trailer or tow truck they put it on. Its been in and out of the same spot for over a year now and has never been tampered with till today. Please any info would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks :|

| 70 510 SSS???? -- I bought a 70 510 about 8 years ago from the original owner but I put it in storage because of military deployments. Now that I am in the process of restoring it to original conditions, I noticed that it has some things that are different than some of the other 510s I see online. It has an original vinyl top, the small rectangular SSS badges on the rear just above the airvents, bumper bar overriders with bumper guards that I have never seen on any other 510, automatic transmission. It is the burned orange color I believe paint code 906 Gold from I can make out, with a black stripe on the side. It does not have the wooden steering wheel with the SSS embem on it. How can I tell if this is an SSS model or if it is something the owner added to it. I have no way of contacting the original owner since I have moved and so has he. I will be glad to send picture if anyone thinks they can help. Thanks. |

| sr20det question -- I am relocating my battery to the trunk with my stock L16 motor. In the future I plan on doing the sr20det swap and would like to know where the starter is located on either the s13 or s14. Please be specific. Once I know where the starter is located exactly then I will know how much power cord to leave for the battery. Thanks for the help. David |
oil for steering box -- I wanted to know what exact oil to use for the steering gear box. I believe it is API/GL4 or API/GL5 but not completely sure. also is there any trick to adjusting the box to make the steering more positive feeling. I turned it some and it feels better but not sure if there is something technique wise I should know

Clutch info.... -- What clutch set-up will I need for a NAP-Z 2.2 and a 280ZX 5 speed? i.e. Clutch bearing, Pilot bearing pressure plate etc. Is there a kit out there? Can you use the matched kit for the 280ZX?

| KA Swap Tips -- Hey, waz up? I was wondering if anybody can help me. I've got a bone stock 71' 510 4DR and I want to be able to get up in the morning and see a KA24DE sitting in the engine bay. There's one problem, I have no clue what is the most economical way to drop one in. I've read some forums and noticed that there were some that modded the front X-member and others used aftermarket units. Also, the idea of no sway bar doesn't encourage me. What I would like to know is that what would be the best way to drop in a KA24DE (note: "DE" as in "Twin Cam"). Also, if it isn't to much, can anyone tell me what does it take to squeeze out almost 300 hp out of these mills WITHOUT turbo? Any tips would be great. Thanks |

LSD Differential, Which handles more abuse??? -- Hello everyone,
I recently bought a Datsun 510 with 10 years of SCCA Racre history. The car has a complete 300zx suspension and brake set-up, roll cage, aluminum everything, etc... The powerplant is a 13B first gen with Weber carburation, etc. I am making this engine put out over 250HP at the wheels.
My plans are to dragg race it once in a while but currently have a 280Z NON-LSD installed. I have been told that this differential will not handle abuse, burnouts, nor it is good for drag racing.
I have been told that the 300zx prior to 1990 will bolt right on and can handle a lot of abuse and high Horsepower and Torque and it is an LSD differenatial.
Is this true? Does it bolt on? and where can I find one?

What is the best brake setup? -- I bought a 69 510 with Wilwood 4 piston Caliper front brakes but the master cylinder is stock. What is the best setup to get better brake feel? I have been told that a brake booster from a B210 and a 280ZX master cylinder is a good combo. Any advice?

I found out the hard way that you should not try to clean the original tag with Brake Cleaner, takes the black paint right off. Looking to have a copy of my original plate made.
