| FS 1969 Datsun 510 shell + parts car $1200 -- I have a very straight 1969 510 2 door stripped down shell + a 1972 510 2 door parts car available for sale. The shell was completely stripped down for preperation of a rally car, but the project was recently abandoned for medical reasons. The running/driving car originally came out of Oklahoma in the mid-90's, and has been in storage since. It is VERY straight & solid, but it does have some typical rust in the left front floor pan, the left rear floor pan (not the right side), the trailing ends of the rocker panels, behind the rear wheel arches, and a few other MINOR misc spots. This shell is NOT a rotted Michigan car!! The firewall and pedal box have been modified for triple Tilton/Girling etc etc master cylinders (not included), the battery tray has been removed, and many of the redundant holes in the engine compartment have been welded up. There is very light cosmetic damage to the left rear corner of the car. The paint is mostly original, except for the primered areas. I have the ORIGINAL front fenders, doors & trunk lid, and a good used hood. The parts car is a 1972 510 2 door. It is definately a rotted/rusty midwestern car! It has a really nice set of 13in Libre's, a set of front & rear big sway bars, an LSD differential, and some other mods. The dash is mostly complete, with a good condition molded dash Coverlay cap. The car is rusty & worn out, but would make a great donor car for the above mentioned shell. Also included is an L20B engine core (needs rebuild), and a 280Z 5speed trans (unknown condition). Sorry, no guarantees, but mostly complete. I will supply what parts I can in this deal, but it is not complete. Asking $1200 or offer. At least ONE TITLE will be available. Cars are located in Kalamazoo Michigan. Will consider selling the SHELL ONLY, but I will not sell the parts car seperately. The car runs but has a cracked head which I have a replacement. Momo wheel, prelude seats, 280z rims I have the stock one's also. This car was hit in the rear so I think its pretty much salvaged but for anyone who is building a 510 right now there are lots of good parts on this complete car. Recent work done: •Oil & filter change •Complete Tune Up (spark plugs & wires, Distributor rotor, cap, points, condenser) •Ignition Timing adjusted •Carb Adjustment •Valve Adjustment •New horn •New fuel pump •New water pump •Coolant flush & filled with premium Coolant •Overall inspection of the vehicle, so everything is safe & sound. (All the above work was done by a Datsun Mechanic.) The Specifics: Exterior: Red Paint Trim, glass, etc. – all trim is in place along with all pertinent badges. It has the optional roof rack, Overrider bars on the bumpers and bumper guards; Glass looks to be all original with no chips or cracks. Interior: Original White Seats, door panels,visors, headliner, pillars, cargo area panels. Dash is black. Carpet is black. Wheels/Tires – Stock 13” steel wheels with all 4 original hubcaps. Tires are in very good shape and have plenty of tread life left. Engine - L16 SOHC 4cyl engine Transmission – 4spd manual (converted from automatic) Carburator - Weber 32/36 DGAV Distributor – Original Dual point modified to run on single points setup. Brakes – stock and in good working order Suspension – stock and in good working order Audio – working indash AM/FM/cassette receiver with door mounted speakers Electrical – original wiring intact throughout the car Overall the body is in good solid condition. It is very straight with no signs of any major collisions. There are a few common areas that have some rust that will need some attention. The driver and passenger side front floorboards have some rust that will require patch panels,about 4" x 4" on each side. (Not complete floorboards) The rocker panel on the passenger side has a small (1/2" diameter) holes that will need to be patched. Also the bottom of the drivers door has some rust that looks to be repairable. I have a another good drivers door that I will include with the car. | 1969 510 Sedan -- 1969 510 4-door, Auto, 139k miles, killer Vinyl top, new brakes, shocks rear wheel bearings and tires. Interior is a 8 out of 10 and would only need carpeting and a bit of clean up to be a 10. Stock L16 and runs very very well. Body is solid and straight no dents or rust. A perfect base for those who would rather work the mechanical modifications and not the paint and body. I will email pictures to those who ask. |

| 71 510 VG30e -- I had this car listed before on here, but my email address and eeverything has changed, so i relisted it here... This is a 1971 Datsun 510 2dr. It does still need some work to be completed. The paint is still in great shape, and the body is about as clean as it gets for one of these cars. It has real BRE front and rear fender flares, and the front flares (full fenders) are AWESOME! The body lines are clean and crisp unlike the flared fenders that you see most of the time. The rear fenders are perfect. No cracks or peeling from the fiberglass/steel seam graft. The front and rear bumpers are in great shape and are almost perfect. All of the glass and rubber seals are in excellent shape with no cracks or blemishes. The interior is also in great shape. The dash has no tears or cracks which is super duper rare for these cars and it has new carpet. The seats are from an early 90’s Nissan Sentra and could stand a good cleaning but are still in really good shape. It has a 6 point roll cage that is a weld in unit and is nice though it does need new padding. Has a factory tachometer that will need to be modified with the engine currently installed. The suspension was very well set up for the L16 that was in it however the front might need some tweaking to accommodate the VG30e. It has BRE front and rear sway bars, Mulholland springs and I’m not really sure what the struts and shocks are. The front brake rotors are the factory size but they are cross drilled and have a pretty whistle when the brakes are applied. The rear drums are finned and are steel… I think... The engine is a VG30e 3L V6from an 86 300ZX. It has been completely rebuilt with all new parts. The rod and main bearings are all standard size as well as the piston rings. The heads have been rebuilt also with new valve seats and guides. Has a new oil pump and water pump. I used the Team Thump VG30/510 engine swap kit to make this a bolt up deal. I had to use a 200SX intake manifold as the 300ZX manifold would not clear the fire wall. Everything was vatted and cleaned thoroughly. The transmission is the basic 300ZX 5 speed. It is in good shape. Doesn’t grind into any gears, or pop out of any gears. I used a new clutch when I put it all together. The drive shaft has been professionally shortened and rebuilt with new u-joints. The rear end is stock, but is in good condition. It now has a set of polished 13x7 ARE Libra’s that are super rare due to them being polished by the guys at BRE back in the 70’s. The engine does need to be wired up, and will need all of the coolant and PCV hoses as swell as the radiator to be mounted. There are also a few odds and ends, but for the most part, this project is done. Complete and running, this is easily a $10k or more car. Unfortunately, I simply lack the time to devote to its completion. This would make someone with the time to finish it a great car. Not only will it be really fast, it should still get 30+ mpg… that’s not easily found in a car. |
