All Datsun Driving Weekend -- It's that time of year again. Time to take your old Datsun on the road for 4 days of great canyon, coastal, and forest driving. Last year we had a small group and absolutely perfect weather and road conditions. This year we hope for more of the same. We'll be based in Arcata and driving the surrounding areas throughout the weekend. If you car runs, bring it out. Read more for complete information.... WHAT: Arcata 2009 - Up Your Ante! All Datsun Driving Weekend. WHEN: August 21 - 24, 2009 WHERE: Arcata, CA, Trinity Forest, and the Lost Coast WHY: Because our cars were made to be driven! Epic! That is the only way to describe last years' event. Imagine the most beautiful sweeping forest, mountain, canyon, and coastal roads, throw in a few bone jarring, exhaust crushing bumps, and add a feeling of complete solitude and you have the Arcata All Datsun Driving Weekend. This is not a car show or a swap meet or a closed course race. This is a touring weekend to clear the cobwebs from your engine and get some much needed distraction from your daily life. You'll need to make sure your car can handle a couple hundred miles a day without exploding as there are no follow vehicles and we will be in fairly remote areas. Most speeds are not too fast, but the corners are a combination of tight to sweeping - perfect for our narrow, short wheelbase cars. Even if you are in a 410 or a B210, you will be fine.
